The Aces Casino Blog "New Casino Games For 2017" Series Rolls On With An Aussie-Style Twist On An Old 21-Type Favorite - "Down Under Blackjack!"

Aces Casino Entertainment (Also known as the top orange county casino party company in southern California) has always prided itself on being the one company to turn to in order to find out what new casino games might be coming to a gaming establishment near you.  Hey, who DOESN'T love to check out the newest games?

Some time ago, it was determined by the powers that be that run this crazy orange county casino night party company that it should be the ol' Aces Casino Blog that does the honors in passing along the info you all were looking for.  So, to that end, it's time to begin our month-long game trainer series, with a twist - Our wildly popular "New Casino Games For 2017" series!

First up -  Courtesy of our friend, Michael Shackelford of "The Wizard Of Odds" fame, we touch on a new game called "Down Under Blackjack."  And, who better to introduce this new game than the man himself, Michael Shackelford!

Down Under Blackjack.

OK... I don't know about YOU, but it looks like the players are just BASHING this game!  Keep your eye out for this casino game in your favorite gaming establishment.  (Ed. Note: It might not be there long!)  That's all for today, as we checked out this down-under game of 21, "Aussie-Style."  On Monday, we delve into yet another of the brand new, exciting casino games coming to a gaming establishment near you.... The Aces Casino Blog "Blast From The Past:" In the End, Officer John McClane Really Didn't Say Much (Which Proves that Actions DO Speak Much Louder)

(Ed. Note: We're fulfilling a request for one of our more popular blog entries in the history of The Aces Casino Blog, originally posted back on June 6th, 2010 - The subtitle for this post could have been something like "The 'Die Hard' guy did WHAT?"  Enjoy, from those crazy orange county casino party kids at Aces Casino Entertainment.)

It IS true.

Without QUESTION, we have the greatest job in the world.

I tell that to anyone that'll listen, and, after seeing the top los angeles casino rental company in the industry at work, 99.99 people wholeheartedly agree. (My wife's the lone dissenter, but there's a story for another blog....Grin)

Because of the industry we toil in, we here at Aces Casino get the chance on many occasions to mingle with the hoi-polloi of Hollywood, at one of the gazillion fund raising opportunities that the SoCal movie studios, actors, and directors put together every year. Great fun for a great cause, and NO ONE does it like Tinseltown.

So, when we do our thing at one of the many Vegas Night casino events each year, invariably, one of our attendees at the party always seems to ask the same question, when it comes to our many brushes with stardom: "Hey, Aces Casino, what's your favorite celebrity-driven story?" And my answer is always the same -- Hands down, it's the story of "The Wrap Party at the Queen."

Back in the mid-90's, we were contracted by Cinergi Pictures to put on a casino night on the Queen Mary in Long Beach, California, to celebrate the wrapping up of the soon-to-be-released flick, "Die Hard With A Vengeance," the third film of a series of pictures starring Bruce Willis as tough-guy-cop John McClane. Wow...Bruce WILLIS? Heck, it's a good thing that Cinergi Pics didn't know how big a fan I was of the "Die Hard" series: I would have done the event for nothing. Just let us know the date, I said, and we're there.

Yeah, that's the one.  That's even the correct "angle."

And, when you're the number one los angeles casino rental company in the biz, the studios know that sometimes, these events get, shall we say, "a little kooky." Hey, the more, the merrier. That's what we live for. Bring it on, and sure enough, Cinergi did.

Beautiful night, we've got about 30 tables on the ship for the event, some inside, some outside on the North deck of the ship. I'm the Pit Boss for the event (Gawd, I hate that title. I much rather prefer 'glorified chip caddy.') so I oversee all that is necessary to make the event run as smooth as our los angeles casino rental company can make it.

With events as big as this there are actually more than one "pit" for the evening, and I'm working the inside setup for Cinergi. Suddenly, in my communications headset, I hear the following request: "Uhh, Aces, you'd best come out to Pit Two."

No problem, it's only about 30 yards away, on the outside deck. Out the door I go, and as I near "Pit Two," I notice something that I didn't remember being there when the event began.

Or, should I say something NOT being there.

For, as I walk up to one of our dealers in our outside BJ team (I'll have to clear it with her to make sure she's cool with the re-telling of the tale), I notice that she's holding her chip tray in both hands. She HAS to do this, because the Blackjack table that she was assigned to work at ISN'T THERE ANY LONGER.

"Uhh, excuse me, "I ask her, calmly. "Umm, girl, what happened to your table?"

And, with a tear in her eye, she said those immortal words that made history at Aces Casino. "Bruce Willis threw it overboard!"

She points to an area over the side of the ship, as when I look over, yep, there it is. One of our gorgeous black gaming cloth beauties, floating to the bottom of Long Beach harbor. Well now, I say to myself....There's something you don't see every day.

"Yeah, I did it.  Got somethin' to say?"

My mind races with numerous thoughts, most dealing with what has to be the first question
Ii'd dare to ask, like, "How did it happen." But, before I could turn and ask our table-less dealer about the flying BJ table, I receive a tap on the shoulder.

I turn around, and "Voila." I'm face to face with Officer John McClane himself, Bruce Willis. Unfortunately, this story doesn't need to elaborate much from this point, because, when I DID turn around from his tap, all he did was slowly slide what turned out to be seven $100 bills into my front shirt pocket, pat me on the shoulder with a grin on his face, turn around, and walk off.

Turns out, Willis had been having a horrible streak of luck at the table he was playing at (A.K.A. the "flying table"), and had warned our dealer that if she drew to 21 on him one more hand, he was going to take the blackjack table, and throw it overboard. She did, so HE did. Sploooosh.

Well, needless to say, Mr. Willis turned out to be a gracious loser (especially because the chips are fake), but, as luck would have it, I never got to ask HIM the one question that I've had for all these years.

"How did you get talked into making 'Hudson Hawk'?"

Well, now that it's all said and done, I'm actually pretty happy that I DIDN'T get my fifteen seconds of fame with Bruce Willis. He might have thrown ME overboard as well. Oh, and we actually DID try to to retrieve the most famous Blackjack table in Hollywood the next day, but the QM security team informed us that retrieval of our table would be impossible, because of the "Moat Monsters."

I kid you not. True story, but when it comes to the Moat Monsters, we'll have to tell THAT part another time. Suddenly, I have a hankering for a "Die Hard DVD Marathon." So says the owner of the wettest BJ table in the los angeles casino rental industry.

The Aces Casino Blog "New Casino Games For 2017" Series Kicks Off Today With One Of Our Newest Favorites To Hit The Felt - "Money Suit 31!"

First up -  Courtesy of our friend, Michael Shackelford of "The Wizard Of Odds" fame, we touch on a new game called "Money$uit 31."  And, who better to introduce this new game than the man himself, Michael Shackelford!

Michael and assistant.  Which one did you look at first?

Now, we know that sometimes, our readers (and definitely most of our staff here at Aces Casino) suffer from "Short-Attention Span Theater Disease," so, to help everyone out with their ability to learn this new twist on card games, we've provided a game trainer for "Money$uit 31!"  Nice!

Play Money$uit 31 right here.

The Aces Casino Blog "Sunday Special:" Identify The Item In This Picture, And Enter Our Drawing!

Sometimes, the Bloggers here at Aces Casino Entertainment (Also known as the top orange county casino party company in southern California) have this feeling every once in a while that they just HAVE to go that "extra mile" when it comes to their episodes here in the Aces Casino Blog.

Translation: They've found something that they want to post, but there's a problem with the Blog schedule - Meaning, every Monday AND Thursday for the next month or so is already spoken for.  No room for their "breaking news" report. (Ed. Note: Usually, a good thing, when you consider the source.)

To try and alleviate the Aces Blog traffic jam, we came up with a little game to play that we'll attach to this blog post.  The Blog team has found a picture of something that they believe will be tough for the Aces Casino Blog readers (8?) to identify.  If you think you can identify the item that is in the following picture , send your answer to our Twitter feed (@AcesCasino), and you'll be entered into our special drawing for a chance to win one of our beautiful 500-count poker chip sets!  What a deal!

OK, so, let's play.  Here is the picture, that was supplied (unknowingly) by the man that pens that super-blog from Glitter Gulch, Mr. Scott Roeben of "Vital Vegas" fame.  Thank you for the pic, Scott....OK, WHAT is it?

What is it? (No, Richie, it isn't Gamera.)

Send your guesses in to our Twitter account by Monday, June 26th, and we'll take all of the correct answers and their corresponding Twitter handles and put them in our raffle drum.  We'll pull out the lucky card on Thursday, June 29th, and announce it here.  How fun!

Good luck, and send it your answers!  Oh, one more thing - Tomorrow, The Aces Casino Blog starts up with their annual "Best New Casino Games" Series, starting with Money$uit 31!  Come back tomorrow, and take that new game for a spit on our "Money$uit 31" game trainer, courtesy of Aces Casino Entertainment, that orange county casino night party juggernaut!  See you tomorrow!

(Ed. Note: Our Aces Casino Blog Staff has informed our corporate offices that the preceding Aces Casino Blog post qualifies as "Make-Up Post #1."  I know, who cares?  More on this "missing Aces Casino Blog Posts" thing later, in this Blog.)

The Aces Casino Blog: Proof-Positive That Reaching Into The "Aces Casino Suggestion Box" For Blog Post Ideas Ain't Necessarily A Good Thing (Duh!)

We all know that Aces Casino Entertainment has long prided itself in being the top Orange County casino night party company in southern California, but here's something else that the public at large might not know (unless you've visited the Aces Complex in person) -- That wacky, eclectic, "professionally irreverent" bunch of Aces Casino staff members also takes pride in what they call their need to be "asking the questions that need to be answered."  That's a good thing for us parakeet-paper scribes, especially when you need copy for an upcoming Aces Casino blog article.

Yes sir, just one quick trip around the Aces Casino offices, and you can get enough "blog-worthy" material for a month of Mondays and Thursdays, not to mention still another GREAT idea for a recurring blog theme to dredge up when the moment arises.  We thought to ourselves, "hey, why NOT ask the questions that need to be answered?"  We were SURE that when we installed that ominous "suggestion box" in the main hallway and asked for our crew to tell us what trivial situation was gnawing at them, something that they just needed to know the answer to, that they'd come through for the home team.

They did.  In SPADES.  No surprise.

So, without further fanfare, let's reach into the Aces Casino suggestion box and find out what's on the minds of the best orange county casino night team in the business (Ed. Note: Fasten your seat belts, this is NOT going to be pretty...) -- Let's check out the first three submissions that were found the Aces Casino Blog -- "What's on the mind of our crew?"  (And we're throwing out all 1,673 submissions that asked, "when do I get a raise?")

Submission #1 -- Who invented the Fidget Spinner?

We cleaned up the actual wording that we saw on the original submission...(I told you that this blog post would be off the rails in no time.)  Obviously, the crew here at Aces Casino is researching to find out how they can TOO create the next hot toy, so they can all retire and give up their life of luxury while "working" here.

Well, to answer the question raised by the suggestion box, it appears that the name of the Fidget Spinner inventor is Catherine Hettinger.

Catherine Hettinger.  Smiling, because of her windfall, we're surmising.

Here's the link, which includes the phrase, "she heard about young boys throwing rocks at police officers and people walking past them while visiting her sister in Israel," which started her quest for an answer to this problem by attempting to invent a soft rock.

Oh, well, now THAT makes sense.  Soft rock = annoying, useless toy.  (Sometimes, I feel the need to take a baseball bat to the Aces Casino Suggestion Box.)

Update: Actually, it appears that the "Fidgit Spinner" DOES have it's critics, as noted here
As journalism goes, we go the extra mile here at Aces Casino.

Submission #2 -- Whatever happened with the land that was being used for the construction of SkyVue, a.k.a. "the world's largest slingshot?"

OK, that's a good question.  Avid readers (all 4 of you) of the Aces Casino Blog, also called "the parakeet paper," remember that, at one time, there was a "Ferris Wheel Race" of sorts going on in Las Vegas, a race to find out who could build the first huge observation wheel in Glitter Gulch.  The race was ultimately won by the fine people of the High Roller, now located behind the Flamingo Hilton property, as part of the tourist trap called "The Linq."

The Winner: The "High Roller."

The Loser: SkyVue, a.k.a. "Slingshot."  Circa 2013.

It appears that our crew was interested to find out if the two tall SkyVue guides are still there, sitting across from the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino..  Answer?  Well, the website is still up.  And, we discovered that some guy went out and shot 3 minutes of video footage of the 2 concrete pillars, dated 2016.

3 MINUTES.  No lie, here's the link.  (Sigh)

OK, but what about today?  What's going on at that long-since-abandoned job site?

Well, not much.  Google Maps has a shot from across the street from Mandalay Bay dated April 2017 that shows the two pillars are still there.  We went to the Bureau of Land Management in Nevada, and saw that the owner of the land is the same Mr. Bulloch from the old SkyVue days.... It's a "Stay Tuned" moment, inquiring minds want to know.  We'll find out at a later date, and make a way-too big deal about it when we find out.

Submission #3 -- Any new casino games out there that we should know about?

It's a wonderful thing when the training sessions that your company puts together are all about learning how to deal and play new games.  We have the best job in the world.

Well, first off, we found one that we'll never be able to use in our "virtual" casino -- A new slot machine based on the DC character, "The Green Lantern."  Here's the footage that we found in regards to this new slot...

"Green Lantern" slot.  OK, he looks a little bored, and ticked off.

Yeah, no, we can't use that. Plus, ol' Greenie looks upset that he's been promised to show up on the slot machine screen.  OK --  How about new table games?

Funny you should ask.  Actually, we found one from our ol' buddy Michael Shackelford, a.k.a. "The Wizard of Odds," who has a new game called "Money Suit 31."

"Money Suit 31."  I know, It's tough to learn the game while Angela Wyman is there.

Money Suit 31 has a system of play that utilizes all four suits found in your normal 52-card deck.  We'll make a deal with you -- We found quite a lot of new games that might make their way to a casino near you come late 2017, so we'll start bringing those to the masses in our next series of Aces Casino Blog posts, including Money$uit 31.

Oh, and get this -- Come on back to The Aces Casino Blog on Monday, and we'll set you up with a full game trainer for the aforementioned "Money$uit 31" that you can take for a spin, with fake chips!  No loss of wages!  Aces Casino Entertainment always goes the extra mile for our many (6?) readers.

So, that's all for now from the top orange county casino party company on the west coast - Aces Casino, of course!  See you next week as we start to look at all of the "Newest Casino Table Games for 2017" series!

The Aces Casino Blog: Thanks to Joke and Biagio, Aces Casino Proudly Presents 3 Of Our YouTube Video Segments On ONE Page! (Gee, That's Great!)

Here at Aces Casino (A.K.A. the top orange county casino party company on the west coast), well, we've always been interested in sharing the exploits of our wacky Vegas Night Casino Company with anyone that might be interested in just what we do (Ed. Note: Uhh, yeah, in the main offices, we like to call them 'prospective customers.').

Yes, it's true, that's pretty much why this dopey, irreverent blog was created in the first place.  Nothing gets by the collective brain trust of THIS fine company.  (Ed. Note: After SIX years of blogging, it appears we've finally made a break-through.  Huzzah.  Now, go and figure out how the printer in the hallway works, and we'll have made TWO "break-throughs."  Wow.  Just Wow..)

For about three months now, the powers that be here at the number one orange county casino night party company in SoCal have been exploring the possibility of bringing the crazy world of Aces Casino to the small screen as part and parcel of a new reality show.

Since we shared that tiny revelation with our crew here at Aces Casino back in February during our annual team member holiday party (Ed. Note: Yes, we have to hold it in February.  Forget December, we're too busy then.), we've seen two interesting phenomenon take place --- 1) The entire team has been even MORE animated at each one of the events they attend, and 2) almost EVERY dealer has been dreaming out-loud about creating their own brand-new acting resume' and hiring an agent.

Fortunately, that dream died off quickly.  Reason?  They're cheap.  They aren't paying for an agency to represent them.  Oh, and they are NOT actors, anyway.  Well, one might qualify, but no, that idea, like Elvis, has left the building.  We're now in June, and we're all back to our version of "Normal."  (Definition: "Normal:" (adj.) Wacky, eclectic, engaging, fun, talented.  No, "America's Got Talent" isn't calling you.  Just set up the venues, and deal the cards.)

So, to assist in the cause of getting Aces Casino discovered for the crazy-fun crew they are in one of the most interesting entertainment niches around, we've gone and submitted our reality-show idea to a pair of fun, energetic, and knowledgeable show producers we could find - Joke and Biagio, of Joke Productions - They of the popular YouTube / Twitter / iTunes podcast fame.  I won't go into their history, but take it from me - They're VERY good, and we like 'em.  Go check out their YouTube podcasts, you'll see.

"Joke" (Her Name) even gets top-billing for her image in this picture.  She's good.

Anyway.... Just like any TV production company, they're interested in seeing some video of our team of frustrated game show contestants in action.  Well, Joke and Biagio, this Aces Casino Blog submission is for you.  Now, I know....most of the videos show the team as a whole, and although our crew is always highly interactive with all of our guests, the sound quality of these vids doesn't allow the personal nature of the crew to come through.  (We DO create a high-octane environment.)

For all of our team, don't worry -- We'll begin shooting video of all of you in a controlled environment right away, so the interested parties can hear you, as well as see you.  (Important Editor's Note For our Aces Casino Crew - We now have a tentative date for the shooting of our "Sizzle Reel" -- We're looking at Tuesday, July 11th, at one of our base facilities in La Habra. We will keep you team members posted.)

OK, here are some vids.....

At the 2:00 mark, that's Rick shooing away the camera.  Great TV.  That'll work.  (Not.)

And, just for reference, the cameraman has a history of being bad luck for the players when he comes over to a table.  Rick always shoo's us away, to save the players from "The Cooler."   (Long story, but true.  Whenever we show up with our tiny vid machine, players lose.  Great for fundraisers.  (Ed. Note:  Is "shoo's a word? No wonder you can't win at Words With Friends.)

Catal at Downtown Disney.

Darwin, at the same Disney location.  We need to hear him, he's terrific.  Sound man!!

OK, hopefully, that'll whet the whistle of the powers that be until we can shoot some one-on-one with our favorite Aces characters.  Again, team, we'll start shooting by the end of the month, so we'll let ya know when we put out the casting call.  For those of you that follow the Aces Casino Blog, we'll be back on Thursday with a look back at some of the latest notes supplied by our cast in the Aces Casino Blog's "Suggestion Box" series.  Take care, and we'll see you then!

The Aces Casino Blog: It's Not Every Day That You See Something Never Seen Before... Until Now!

Here at Aces Casino, A.K.A. the top orange county casino party company on the West Coast, we've always had a soft spot in our heart for that next big thing hitting the silver screen -- Movies from the Marvel and D.C. Cinematic Universe.  (Ed. Note: Hold the phone, Universal - Let's see that Mummy film, first, before we jump in whole hog with YOUR answer.)

So, to that end, we took some of our esteemed orange county casino night party crew to the movies last week, sand caught the latest super-hero film, "Wonder Woman."  Oh, yeah, me like.  GREAT film, we here at Aces Casino, A.K.A. the frustrated TV game show contestants and lover of films, give it ten thumbs up.

Then, after seeing this terrific film, someone mentioned something that they wished would have made an appearance in the film - Wonder Woman's invisible plane.  This lil' tidbit of info immediately started a firestorm of "Who's Line Is It, Anyway?" -- cacophony of one-liners.  You know the drill, things like, "hey, if it's invisible, how does she find it?"

Good question, I thought.

And THAT'S when one of our assistant leads spoke up and said, "would you like to see the plane?  Got a picture of it, right here."  Well, anyone that knows our zany crew knows that the team couldn't resist.  "Where?  Let's see it!"

And that brings us to our "Comic Book Tidbit Of The Week," my friends.  You know we're posting THAT picture.  Fasten your seat belts, because here is the first picture I've ever seen of Wonder Woman's Invisible Plane, courtesy of the crack staff at Aces Casino....

Not surprising, SuperDude doesn't trust it.  "Lady Driver, Buckle Up."

Just another milestone in the ongoing "The Aces Casino Blog" saga, following our motto, "We don't break the news - We just sprain it."  (Ed. Note:  Where do you put the gas?)

That's it for today, friends... We posted the Blog on Wednesday, because we're busy-busy on Thursday.  We should be back on Monday, barring any mishaps while seeing "The Mummy."  Just a reminder - June events are discounted 30% for the entire month!  If you're looking for a small party for a birthday, grad night, whatever, give us a call!  We want YOUR event!  Take care, we'll see you next week!
