The Aces Casino Blog "2016 New Casino Game Trainer" Series Checks Out This Lil' Ditty -- Here Are The Rules Of "Hearts Up Showdown Poker!"

Anyone that knows the crew at Aces Casino Entertainment (A.K.A. the top orange county casino party company on the west coast) knows that there are two things that we will NEVER get enough of - Putting on great casino night party events, and play-testing brand new casino games!

Aces Casino is well-known for being one of the innovators in our industry when it comes to bringing the latest casino games to our "virtual reality casino floor" faster than anyone else in the United States.  Every year here on the Aces Blog, we take pride in providing a block of blog-time to showcase some of the newly-discovered casino-style games that are currently being play-tested before they hit the market, or, in some cases, have already made their way onto a casino floor near you.

Hey - It's what this orange county casino night party company does best - Bringing the latest innovations in our industry to our many clients all over southern California.  Well, that, and also having loads of fun with our clients at our many events year-round.

So, to that end, let's continue our "Newest Casino Games Of 2016" Aces Casino Blog Series with a game that we discovered is being offered by a company known as INAG (Ed. Note: Which stands for the International Network in Advance Gaming).  Now, those of you that might not be familiar with INAG... Well, if you're into casino gaming at all and have visited some of the Indian casinos located on the west coast, you may have already seen some of the INAG creations.

This one looks like (and is described as) a poker-based card game unlike anything we've seen in the past, which intrigues us even more.  It's called "Hearts Up Showdown Poker," and as of this writing, has not been set up for play-testing in "game trainer" form.  That's OK, however.....Once we obtain the game trainer, we'll update this blog-post, and link to it the minute we receive one.  The rules are posted below, so take a peek, and let us know what you think!

Right off the bat, ya gotta love that purple background color.
OK.... Now... Here's how you play.
  1. All bets placed before cards are dealt.
  2. Each player is dealt five cards, one at a time, in rotation, face-up.  Dealer cards are dealt face down as last card in rotation and revealed at the end of play to increase suspense.
  3. The best five card poker hand on the table wins the   mandatory “Pot” bet from the other players. Ties are split.  The house rake for the “Pot” bet is $1 on each $25 wagered after the first $25.  Players may bet more than the table minimum if desired, but winning bets pay at no more than 1 to 1 or to the extent their wager covers
  4. The “Pot” bet creates good natured rivalries between players while all can team  up to root against the Dealer for the next game step.
  5. After the Pot bet is paid, the “Dealer” bets are decided as the Dealer flips each  card in sequence.  Each player’s hand is pitted against the Dealer’s hand, one-on-one, to decide each bet.  Winners paid 1:1.  Ties push.
  6.  Bet pushes if Dealer does not have a qualifying hand of at least Jack high.
  7. All bets are paid to or collected from each player.
  8. The optional “Suit” bet is played against the house with the turn of every player        card.  Players guess their cards’ suits before dealing to win by pressing their suit indicator buttons for each card.
  9. The players’ suit bet is evenly divided among the five cards.  A $5 wager equals $1 per card, a $10 wager equals $2 per card, $15 = $3 per card, etc.  Payouts start at 1:1 with 1 match and dramatically increase to 100:1 with 5 matches.
  10.  The optional “Hearts Up!” bet is played against the house.  Players want two or         more Hearts in their hand.  The more Hearts they get, the more they win.
  11.  The optional “Hand” bet pays based on the quality of a player’s poker hand.  Pays start at Jacks and top out with a Hearts Royal Flush payout of 5000:1!
OK, so it loses a little bit in the translation, but hey - It's early!  Let's wait for the game trainer, and see how it works.  We here at Aces Casino LOVE the layout, and that's half the battle!  OK, gaming fans, that's all for now.... We'll be back in April with more of the "New Casino Games of 2016."  See you then!

The Aces Casino Blog: Let's Take a Look At Some Of The Brand New Games Coming To a Casino Near You, Starting With Our Favorite - "1 Bet Threat!"

So, to that end, let's start off our "Newest Casino Games Of 2016" Aces Casino Blog Series with a game that we discovered is being offered by a company known as INAG (Ed. Note: Which stands for the International Network in Advance Gaming).  Now, those of you that might not be familiar with INAG... Well, if you're into casino gaming at all and have visited some of the Indian casinos located on the west coast, you may have already seen some of the INAG creations.

This brand new INAG casino game is called "1 Bet Threat," and will be coming to a Nevada casino floor in the very near future (if it hasn't, already).

"1 Bet Threat." Hey, we're already good for more than one bet.

It has a blackjack-style horseshoe-shape, and in the configuration shown above, it has a six-spot player area.  The game is correctly classified as a "poker-based casino game," and it's roots are firmly planted in the poker game of Texas Hold-'em.  We here at Aces Casino have fully play-tested this game, and we like quite a few of the game's characteristics, especially the "instant showdown" part of the game.

Would you like to give this new game a try?  Well, you KNOW that Aces Casino Entertainment wouldn't tease you with a leading question like that... Of COURSE you'd like to try it!  Well, courtesy of the top orange county casino party company on the west coast (Aces Casino, for short!), just click on the link below, and take "1 Bet Threat" for a spin!

That's all for now, my Aces Casino Blog buddies.  But, there's good news!  We've found a TREASURE TROVE of new casino games to try out!  (Ed. Note: Just what IS a 'treasure trove,' anyway?)  We'll be back on Monday with a brand new 2016 casino game trainer for you to take for a spin.  We'll see you then!

The Aces Casino Blog: Sure And It Would Be Wrong If We Didn't Recognize Today's Holiday, When We're ALL Irish - "St. Paddy's Day!" (Yes, "Paddy!")

Here at Aces Casino Entertainment, we've been known to do a little too much celebrating on certain holidays; Christmas and Thanksgiving, to name a couple... But only because of the food... Oh, yes, the FOOD!  Those holidays are MADE for partaking in the rite of overeating.  Therefore, it must stand to reason that some of the brethren here at the top orange county casino party company on the west coast would be celebrating THEIR favorite holiday on this fine day - "St. Patrick's Day."

You got it... We've got some "lovers of the suds" floating around these halls today, and I DO mean "floating."  We're certain that, once the 5:30pm bell rings here at Aces Casino, it'll be off to the nearest Irish Pub to join in the festivities of "St. Paddy's Day."

Oh, yeah, PLEASE do NOT call it "St. Patty's Day."  As our Irish contingency is quick to point out, the holiday centers around a gentleman by the first name of Padraig, hence, "Paddy," for short.  Yep, without question, we learn something new every day here at the orange county casino night party leader.  (Ed. Note: Even if it IS so incredibly trivial...)

So, to that end, we'd like to join our "Erin Go Bragh" friends and celebrate St. Patrick's Day in the way that we know best --  By hitting you with all of the Irish history that we've learned in the last years from Mike Leahy, our resident IT expert and long-time employee of Aces Casino.  (Ed. Note: Mike just left the confines of Aces Casino recently to go out on his own and form his own IT firm.  Good luck, ya bloody Irishman!)  We asked Mike what we should do for "St. Paddy's Day," and he suggested two things -- His top ten Irish slang phrases that he normally uses to excess, when doing his thing here at Aces Casino, and a short video concerning the history of the holiday.
10 Phrases and Slang of the Irish
  1. "Sure look it" - acceptable response for any question, statement, or comment
  2. "A whale of a time" - a good time
  3. "quare" (as in "it is quare warm today") - quite or very
  4. "put the heart crossways" (in someone) - to give someone a fright
  5. "wrecked" - very tired, usually after a night out
  6. "like hen's teeth" - something rare
  7. "I will yea" - I definitely won't
  8. "banjaxed" - broken
  9. "wet the tea" - make tea
  10. "pull your socks up" - get to work

A history lesson with a pot o' gold.

That's all for now, kiddies... We'll be back on Monday with more drivel and less suds, courtesy of the top orange county casino party company on the west coast, and also some parts of Ireland - Aces Casino Entertainment!

The Aces Casino Blog: How Close Did "Back To The Future - Part Two" Come To Predicting What The Future Would Be Like In Vegas? Um, Not Close..

Sometimes, it can be a tough job to "slip one by the goalie" here at the top Orange County casino party company on the West coast, that company known as Aces Casino Entertainment, but it DOES happen.  Every once in a blue moon, something from the gaming industry in general just appears out of nowhere, something that catches us totally by surprise, something we did not know existed.  (Ed. Note: Especially when it comes to the treats sold in the break room vending machines, but that's a story for another time.  Who told the vending machine guys to 'go healthy,' anyway?  Bleh...)

We begin this Monday's quasi-effort in the Aces Casino Blog by quoting the esteemed Dr. Alan Grant, a character played by Sam Neill in the 1993 Steven Spielberg blockbuster movie, "Jurassic Park" --"The world has just changed so radically, and we're all running to catch up."  This was the instant feeling that this reporter had when we saw a picture of a machine that looked like a kiosk for some movie rental company, like a RedBox, or a Blockbuster Express machine..

Paging Mr. Tannen... Mr. Biff Tannen.....

This picture comes to us from one of our favorite (if not THE favorite) blog websites, something now called "Vital Vegas," a fairly new, but wildly popular blog written and produced by a man named Scott Roeben.  More on that later....Now, back to the picture....

Now, upon further scrutiny (not to mention Scott's copy from the blog), we quickly discovered that you'd be out of luck trying to rent a copy of "Life Of Pi" from this machine, but if you were looking to place a wager on the upcoming Angels' baseball game, you'd be in the right place.

That photo shows none other than the Quad's new "Sports Betting Kiosk," conveniently located across from the Quad Wine & Spirits, in the hotel's new casino area.

Ummm... Excuse me?  A SPORTS BETTING KIOSK?   Are you tellin' me that in this world that we live in, there's some machine that you can place sports bets on with no cigar-chomping old man mumbling our selections back to us?   Well, to say the least, this by-chance discovery set the proverbial wheels in motion over here at Aces Casino.   How can this BE, we wondered.  None of us had EVER heard of this lil' piece of heaven even existing in Vegas, or anywhere else, for that matter.  We had to perform some instant research on this marvel, right away.  So, without further adieu, we went right to our "Gold Standard" source for futuristic, state-of-the-art casino stuff, to find out the truth about this sports wagering leviathan -- The ONLY place we'd EVER go to find out the truth about 21st-century wagering like this....

Our "Go-To" source?  Why, It's our DVD of "Back To The Future, Part Two," of course.

I mean, that movie was set in the year, what, 2015?  I mean, surely, there HAS to be a shot of this 21st-century gaming marvel sitting somewhere in the background footage shot inside of Biff's Casino (Ed. Note: which, we might add, looked VERY familiar to those of us that had frequented the Union Plaza Hotel and Casino some years back).  We must have watched that part of the movie some 20 times yesterday, looking for this sports betting kiosk somewhere, ANYWHERE, in ANY of the shots of the interior of "Biff's."

Nope.  No dice.  It ain't there.  I mean, look for yourself.

Exhibit A - No Kiosk in THIS shot, But I think that's Billy Zane in the hat.  Could be wrong.

Exhibit B - The Lost "Biff Tannen Museum" Footage from the film.  We go the extra mile.

Well, when you think about it, this must mean that our Michael J. Fox / Christopher Lloyd "21st-Century Las Vegas Masterpiece" film MUST be truly ahead of it's time.  The FILM is set in 2015, two years AFTER our current year that we live in, so we think that those machines must now be old news in the year 2015, and THAT'S why you don't SEE them in the film.  (Ed. Note: We call this 'Aces Casino Logic.'  Don't ask.)  Hey, you know how Las Vegas keeps their promise of "out with the old, and in with the new."  Wow...Robert Zemeckis is truly a visionary, after all.

And so goes the logic of the bloggers of Aces Casino Entertainment, the best Orange County casino night party company on the west coast.  And the city of Norwalk wanted me to serve on jury duty last year.  I'm sure that by now, they're thankin' their lucky stars that this reporter wasn't available, or a miscarriage of justice wouldn't have been far off.

And now, the epilogue to our cryptic blog for this Monday.... Back when the powers that be decided that Aces Casino Entertainment should have a blog to promote not only the company, but all things "Vegas," we thought to ourselves, "OK, if we're going to DO this, we're going to do it OUR way - With a smirk on our faces, and an uplifted brow."  You know, something to show this supposed "irreverent" side that we're supposed to have (Ed. Note: and have won awards for in our industry).

We went looking on the 'Net, searching far and wide for a blog that spoke to us in a language we could understand.  Then, suddenly, there it was.... We found a blog that was done under the Caesars' Entertainment franchise.  (Ed. Note: Scott now does his best work for "Vital Vegas," which IS the top blog on Vegas around, and the one blog that can claim to be a one-man quest to revitalize the downtown Vegas district.  Check it out...)

Once we read Scott Roeben's blog and found he had a similar sense of humor about the way his blog should look and feel, we knew how to proceed.  THAT'S how the Aces Casino Blog was going to look, and more importantly, THINK.  We already had that style at our many events, so we thought, "Hey - Why not bring that style to the printed page of our parakeet paper?"

Voila.  The Aces Blog was born....May 1, 2009.

We'll attempt to thank Scott Roeben personally for his long-distance shove into this crazy blog world that we now reside in, if at all possible.  We'll be traveling to Las Vegas in late June for a business trip related to both the blog AND Aces Casino, so we'll try to contact the blog-meister of the "Vital Vegas Blog" and see if we can take him out to lunch, or something.  (Ed. Note: Just come back with the Roulette wheel we ordered, Mister Pulitzer.  We're not paying for your trip to Vegas to go schmooze!)  Hey -- If we can travel to Minnesota for a "big ball of twine tournament," we surely can do lunch in Vegas.

Oh.  One more thing.  Scott takes good pictures, MUCH better than OUR team.  Here's a shot of the Britney Spears look-alike that's currently performing in the Flamingo Hotel and Casino's 30th Anniversary of the "Legends In Concert....."

Yeah..Britney WISHES she looked like this.

And, yes, a quick note to the powers that be over at Aces Casino Entertainment, the top Orange County casino party company in SoCal -- In True "Vital Vegas" form, we're sure we've taken care of acquiring the normal release forms required for our publication today.  Do we seem like the type of blog that wouldn't get the release forms?

(Ed. Note: Sigh.........)

The Aces Casino Blog: It's Party Time Here At "The Blog" As We Celebrate Our 400th Blog Post! (Well, It's Really #406, But Who's Counting? Um, Not Us.)

Here at Aces Casino Entertainment, we take pride in a lot of things when it comes to this orange county casino party company that we call home.  Aces Casino was the first casino party company to have licensed availability for Ultimate Texas Hold-'Em, Let It Ride, and all other licensed games by our friends at Shuffle Master, not to mention one of the first casino companies around to offer full services via disc jockeys and sound, photo booth integration, and even an event at Concourse Bowl in Anaheim that provided two white tigers and a midget wrestling show.

Yep, we've done it all.

2016 also marked the SEVENTH year that this goofy casino party crew has provided it's own, twice-weekly blog, a communication tool that has covered both the ridiculous and the sublime in our industry, while also maintaining the Orange County Register's #1 casino party company in Orange County rating with our brand of "professional irreverence."

Yep, that's us.  So, yesterday, the boss let us know that this particular blog post that was scheduled to appear today, March 10th, 2016, would be our 400th post.  (Ed. Note: Sorry, forgot the cake.  Oh, and also forgot something else.)  Wow...400 blog posts... Hard to believe.

As well as something not to be believed.  You know, for a company that prides itself in the area of teaching odds and probabilities to the masses that play our fun casino games, you'd think that someone would have done the, oh, what, 15 seconds of background check, to see that the noiseless blog post you're reading is actually #406 in a series.

So, to honor this mathematical gaffe brought on by the fact that we didn't label some of our "Queen Mary" blog posts from five years ago, let's find solace in the fact that the James Bond movie re-make of the film, "Casino Royale," easily trumps our "could have fixed this with a calculator" goof.

OK, we're feeling better already.  Um, no, we're not, but thanks, anyway.

That's all for now, my friends.  We'll be back next week with a brand new blog post, and a brand new abacus.  Hope the caterer can fix that "400" number on the cake!  (Ed. Note: Don't worry about that.  I already told you, I forgot the cake.)

The Aces Casino Blog: Time For Some Fun - A Little Reminder On How Much Fun It Can Be To Play Three Card Poker (Especially If You're Catching Cards!)

Here at Aces Casino Entertainment (A.K.A. the top orange county casino party company on the west coast), we strive to excel in each and every game we provide to our many clients for the last 22 years.  (Ed. Note: 22 years? Ouch.  Thanks, now, I feel old.)  Of course, it's easy to excel when you LOVE the game that you're playing, if you've practiced long and hard ... Fortunately, some of the games that professional casinos offer aren't that hard to learn and master.

Such is the case with Three-Card Poker, another of the many games that Aces Casino offers to our orange county casino night clients throughout the southland.  With this in mind, we thought it'd be nice to offer a small tutorial on this fun game we call Three-Card Poker, with thanks going out to our friends over at Durango.  Enjoy!

3-Card Poker.  Formal dress optional.

That's all for now from your friends over at Aces Casino.  We'll be back on Thursday with more from the wonderful world of fake casinos, like us.  Like we always say - The dice don't know that the chips are valueless.  (Ed. Note: I don't know WHY we say that, but, apparently, we do.  Apologies in advance to those that require it.)
