The Aces Casino Blog: Next Up In Our Famous "Casino Game Trainer" Series Is One Of My Faves -- The Fast Moving Game Action Of 3-Card Poker!

Here at Aces Casino Entertainment, we just LOVE games - All kinds of games, from the traditional casino games that can be found in just about any reputable Las Vegas-based casino, to the various card and board games found at your local card shop and department store.  Bottom line -- When you're the top Orange county casino party company on the west coast, and the word "entertainment" is in your name, you had best know the Las Vegas gaming business.

And, without question, we DO.  (Ed. Note: They love YouTube, too, but that's another story.)

The best news of all in this shameless brag from the Aces Casino "Ministers of Propaganda" is that we ALSO love to SHARE our good fortune with our many clients up and down the California coast.  That's why our Aces Blog, A.K.a. the "Parakeet Paper," is such a useful tool -- We can interact not only with our many on-site orange county casino party clients at one of our many live fundraising and private party events, but also with people that find us right here on our blog.

So, to that end, the team at Aces Casino Entertainment have decreed that the month of November this year will be known as "Let's Play Games" month here on the blog.  Every Monday and Thursday here on the blog this month, we'll post a great link to one of the many fine Las Vegas-style casino game trainers for our fans to play with and try out.  Take one of our many game trainers for a spin, and see if you like the games, without the sting of playing for real money.

This edition of the Aces Blog features one of our most popular "non-Blackjack" games that Aces Casino offers to the fake-chip masses - 3-Card Poker.  Anyone looking for a very nice (not to mention cheap) way to practice playing one of Vegas' most popular table games need look no further than the Aces Blog.  You'll find the link to this great game simulator right under the corresponding image of the game shown below.

Take this one for a test-drive, my friends.  Just like at Aces Casino's many entertaining games, the chips are fake, but the information and experience of playing the games are real.   And, as always, a big thank-you goes out to the best source for information about all the casino games we love to the man known as the "Wizard Of Odds."   There isn't ANYONE more knowledgeable about all the inner workings of these games as the "Wizard."

That's all for now, you "Aces Game Trainer Degenerates."  Take care, enjoy the games courtesy of Aces Casino, the Orange county casino party leader, and we'll see you later with the next game in line from our fabulous list of  game simulators in our next edition of our irreverent (but hopefully informative) Aces Casino Blog -- One of out all-time favorites -- Ultimate Texas Hold-'Em.  Seriously -- If you haven't tried this game yet, the best way to learn it would be right here on the Parakeet Paper known as the Aces Blog.  It's a GREAT game, you'll love it, so come back and try it out!  We'll see you next time!

The Aces Casino Blog: Nothing Brings Us Back To Work Faster Than Some Goofy YouTube Video Making The Rounds! (Yes, We Are NOT Surprised.)

OK.. So, the Aces Casino Blog team over at Aces Casino Entertainment (Also known as the top Orange County casino night party company on the west coast) has been on what might be called a long hiatus from the ol' keyboard (Ed. Note: "Long Hiatus?  You've been AWOL for almost two months!).

Well, nothing can shorten our vacation quite like us getting our hands on one of the craziest rugby videos that we've ever seen.  We'll preface this vid by mentioning that during our 37-year run as season-ticket holders for the San Diego Chargers, we've actually thought about ways to help out the team in times of crisis.  But... we've never considered hopping onto the field to assist the cause.

And...even if we did... We'd probably be wearing the team colors.  You'll see what we mean.

So, to that end, here's how one fan went to the maximum to help out his fave rugby team during something called the "Clash Of The Titans."

"It's the worst thing to EVER happen!... (Uhh, or the BEST!)

THE GUY MAKES THE TACKLE!

AND ... What's funnier than THAT is the fact that the guy gets out of the way of the subsequent melee', and wanders off the 'pitch' without being noticed.  (Ed. Note:  If you're THAT guy, you have to be a little miffed that your birthday suit - plus the black socks - Nice fashion touch there, buddy.) Nice goin', dude - you didn't hold the attention of the throng at the game.

But.. Before we go, here's another one that we just loved, the minute we saw it.  Courtesy of Kevin Harlin, here's the "call of the week."

Where's Mike Curtis when you need him?

That's all from your friends at the best orange county casino party company in SoCal, my friends.  Back on Monday (Ed. Note: Yeah, right.) with more irreverence from the offices of Aces Casino Entertainment!

The Aces Casino Blog: What Better Way To Get Back Into The Blog Groove Than To Show The Ultimate Battle Between 2 Cats and 1 Mouse? (No Betting!)

Ahh, yes, well, our vacation time here at Aces Casino Entertainment (Also known as the top orange county casino party company on the west coast, don'cha know?) has apparently ended, so it's back to work here at the insanity ward.  Fortunately for all of us here at Aces Casino, our insanity ward is a blast to be a part of.  Therefore, it's "back to work" we go.  (Ed. Note: The companies' motto since their inception in 1994? "This Beats Working.")

We're currently in the process of blowing all of the dust off of the PC's, and finishing up with the renovation process on all of our new casino tables, which will begin to make their appearance beginning this weekend.  Hey - They don't call us the top orange county casino night in SoCal for nuthin'.  Ask the O. C. Register.  They're the ones that did it, not us.... Wel, maybe, we did.  Whatever...

OK, so... Here on the Aces Casino Blog, we strive to do what we do best - Provide funny, dopey, or goofy YouTube Videos as our mantra.  So, let's kick off the summer 2016 Aces Casino Blog season with this lil' ditty, something we call "One Mouse, Two Cats."  Place your bets, we're setting the line at Cats, 3-to-5, Mouse 6/5, 2 minute round.

So close, yet so far away.  (Or not, get your bets in.)

Scintillating re-launch, wasn't it?  No worries, my Aces Casino brethren..... We're right back here on Thursday to chronicle one of our vacation stops  in July - The 2016 EVO Convention and Tournament.  It was something else, believe me, and we've got the pics and vids to prove it.  We'll see you on Thursday, take care!

(Ed. Note: One more thing, before we go.... Aces Casino IS one of the top casino party companies here in southern California, and is VERY popular with our many clients.  As you can imagine, The 2016 Aces Casino Entertainment calendar is filling up fast, especially in August, September and December.  Please give us a call right away and let us hold a spot on our event calendar for you.  We want your event!)

The Aces Casino Blog July 4th "Blast From The Past:" 4 Words That Strike Fear Into The Hearts Of The Aces Dealer Team -- "I've Got This System..."

(Ed. Note: As you can imagine, our Aces Casino Blog team - and everyone else that works with the top orange county casino night party company on the west coast - wishes all of our friends, staff, clients and families a happy, safe and sane July 4th..  Please remember and keep in your prayers all of our incredible veterans, servicemen and women on this day, and all those that follow in their footsteps.  Thank you all for your service.  We're back on Thursday.)

Picture another typical Orange County casino party hosted by Aces Casino -- It's the weekend, time for another huge fundraiser in South Orange County.  Hosting this particular evening is Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC), one of the top organizations in the southern California area when it's time to raise funds for one of the many needy charities that they support.

The high-octane din of a fully entertained crowd here to take in this special event is matched by the clicking of fake casino chips in the background.  Everybody's having a wonderful time, especially the staff here at Aces Casino.... We love seeing another one of the many organizations that we serve on a yearly basis fulfilling their fundraising needs with a spectacular Orange County casino night.

Then, just like casino clockwork, IT happens.  AGAIN.  Just like it does at virtually EVERY Orange County casino night we put on for our clients.

While standing at the Roulette table and discussing the current plight of our totally destroyed NCAA College Basketball Tourney brackets with one of our top Roulette dealers, a well-dressed man walks up to the table and says it.

"Hi, guys!  I'm here to play some Roulette, and I'm here on a mission.  You see, I've got this system that I've been working on in order to prove that this game is mathematically beatable...."

"Stop right there, my friend,"  I tell the well-dressed gentleman.  "Such a system does not exist, but you're more than welcome to try it out.  This is the perfect way to test ANY system that a gaming enthusiast comes up with, to give it a true test without actually wagering any real money."  (I wish I had $5 for every time I've repeated that dopey phrase at an Aces Casino event.  I'd be sipping Pina Coladas on that private island that Disney bought for their luxury cruise lines that frequently visit the Bahamas, and taking in the sights.  Sip-Sip.)

Undaunted, the Well-dressed event attendee plunks down two $100-fake-chips, and receives his fake Roulette chip change.  He's ready to test his 'system.'  "OK, here goes," he tells us, and he begins to place chips in certain spots on the board.

"I'll tell you what," I say to him.  (His name was Kevin.)  "Kevin, you currently have 40 red-striped chips in front of you.  If you can last 20 minutes at this table betting your system without fail, and still have ANY of the $200 in chips you started with, I'll make a $50 donation to the OCSD's charity that benefits from tonight's fundraiser.  But, if you were to LOSE your initial stake before the 20 minutes expires, YOU can make a donation of any size you wish to the same charity.  You game?"

He was.  Game on.

And, 13 minutes later, Kevin was off to the registration table, in order to make the agreed-upon charitable donation to CHOC Hospital of Orange County.  (Ed. Note: I actually attended this event.  He actually couldn't lose.  I made my donation later, anyway.  I always do, but, I digress.)

That's when Scott Percifield, the Roulette dealer for the OCSD event, turned to me and said, "there goes another system player.  How many in a row is that?"

"I dunno, but better for Kevin to find out at our fake game table that his system may be a bit flawed, than to test it out on the REAL ones in Las Vegas, my friend," I respond.  "And, it's also good for CHOC Hospital."

What we did to our latest batch of systems players.

And herein lies the tale, my friends.  You wouldn't BELIEVE how many times we run into the dreaded "system players" at our event; players that feel they've properly tested their lil' system online, and wish to try it it a pseudo-realistic casino environment for the first time to give it the true acid-test it deserves. And, what better place to try this system out than our very own Orange County casino party venue?

We've been lucky enough to keep an un-scientific chart at our Aces Casino offices as to just how many times we've run into system players at our tables over the last 17+ years.  Our loosely-based count sits at 1105 players that have tested "systems" as we write this drivel.  Our record vs. these "system players?"

1096 wins, and NINE losses.

And, of those nine losses, six of them should be thrown out of the model.

-- Two Blackjack card-counting teams were found to be cheating, by passing cards to each other during their 20-minute test;

-- One Roulette gal bet her entire wad on red for the last spin of the test, deviating from her 'system;'

-- One Pai-Gow Poker player borrowed chips from another player during his testing;

-- And not one, but TWO Craps system players stopped their test with more than five minutes remaining, when they were up by $5 or less.

So, THREE winners in over 1100 tests.  Now we know why the Vegas hotels are so tall.

Bruce Willis was trying a "system" during one of our biggest private parties aboard the Queen Mary at this Hollywood "Wrap" Party.  The Blackjack table he was playing at ended up being thrown over the side.  He's one of the 1,096.

Seems like EVERYONE has a system.  Just not a good one.  So, we here at Aces Casino have decided to take the initiative, and try to debunk the three biggest wastes of time when it comes to "systems" that players try at our full-sized, beautiful casino tables. Hey, we LOVE systems.  just not THESE three, in reverse order, that seem to pop up more than the rest...

#3 -- Craps Field Bets - 7 Winners, And Only 4 Losers

This play at the Craps table is the one we like to call, "The Used Car Lot of Craps."   Boy, if those "field bets" at the Craps tables don't look like a sweet deal....  You mean, I get ALL of those numbers in the field?  2-3-4-9-10-11-12?  SEVEN numbers, and there are only FOUR numbers (5, 6, 7, and 8) that are losers?

It's just so easy to understand... Even the novice Craps player can understand this bet, one we like to call a "one-roll proposition."  That means, on the very next roll of the dice, we'll have the winner (or the loser) when it comes to the Field bet.  If one of the previously mentioned numbers showing in the Field box is rolled, you're a winner.  (If 2 or 12 is rolled, the Field bet pays double.)  If 5-6-7-or 8 comes up, the Field bet loses.

Yep...Unfortunately, we're talking about a used-car lot that uses dice when it comes to the Field bet.  On a used-car lot, you can ask to see the "CarFax."  We suggest that when you consider making a Field bet, that you first check out the "CrapsFax."  If you HAD, you'd find out one very interesting fact about the Field bet: Every time you place a Field bet on a Craps table, the house edge against the player is a whopping 5.59%.

Compare that with the traditional basic Craps system that suggests that you play the pass line and take full odds on any point number created to try to get the best of it (only a 1.12% house edge), and you can see why we like to compare the Field bet in Craps to watching The "Teletubbies" on TV; Just because it's easy to understand doesn't mean it's any good.

Sorry, Tinky-Winky.  We suggest you steer clear of the Field bet (AND The Teletubbies).  Either way you look at it, there are better places to put your money, like odds bets and "Transformers."  (Ya gotta admit, Transformers are cool.)

#2 -- "9 straight Black numbers - The next one HAS to be RED!"

We see this one all the time at Aces Casino.  The number of consecutive spins may be different, but the flawed theory remains the same.  "Wow, ANOTHER black number.  That's NINE in a ROW.  A red number is due!  Bet it all on Red!"

"Soitenly, the next one's GOTTA be RED!"

Whap.  Black 15.  10-in-a-row.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, my casino party friends, but the Roulette wheel and the ball that falls into a slot in the wheel have no idea that they've now landed on 10 straight black numbers.  The odds of a red number coming up on a traditional 38-spot Roulette wheel don't change because of the previous 10 spins.  The odds are just like always.  18/38.

Forget Faux-Casino Parties.   We've seen people in LAS VEGAS betting this same way, thinking the other color is "due."  Why else do you think the casinos added those "Roulette previous spins" tote boards, that show the last X-number of results?  They did it to bring in those "system players" that think the other color is "due."  Nothin' is due but the rent, my friends.  18-out-of-38.  Same odds, spin after spin.  Don't be fooled.

#1 -- The Dreaded "Martingale" System

This one is the all-time champion of flawed systems.  Time after time, we'll see players try this.  Simply put, the Martingale System states that, should you lose your original bet, just double up the next time.  lose again? double up again.  You're DUE to win one eventually, and that way, you'll break even+ one bet when you DO win.

Flaws are all OVER this "system."

The biggest flaw when it comes to the Martingale is when the losses mount so much that you've hit the maximum bet amount at the table.  You can't continue the double-up system.  The bets are over the maximum.  THEN what?  Uhhh, BOOM, is what.

THESE guys were Martingale system players.

I know, it sounds like you'd NEVER hit the maximum table limit on a regulation casino Blackjack table.  You can...either that, or you're going to be faced with seven losses in a row at a $20 table, and will need to bet a whopping $1280 on your next hand of Blackjack just to try to get EVEN.  Try and place a $1000 + bet on a Blackjack table, my friends.  It'll give your knees the shakin' of their lives.  oh, and lose THAT hand, and your next bet is over $2500.  Pass-a-dena on the Martingale, my friends.  It sounds good, but it's a killer.

(Whew) Well, that's all for the top 3 flawed betting systems....

Not convinced yet?  Hey... Just come on down to the next Orange County casino party that Aces Casino is hosting in your area, and give that Martingale system another try.  We can use another 'statistic' on our dry-erase board.  Care to make it 1,097?

The Aces Casino Blog "College Of Casino Game Knowledge Mid-Term" -- Top 10 (Or 11?) Trivia Questions About The Game Of Blackjack (Or 21?)

OK, all you "expert Blackjack players." The Professor is handing out the papers. Take one, and pass the rest back, please. It's time for all of you to take the Blackjack version of the "Aces Casino Mid-Term Gaming Test." Today's exercise deals with what most people consider the most popular game in Las Vegas -- 21, Blackjack.

Here at Aces Casino (the orange county casino night leader), we take pride in our ability to keep all of our many Blog-Readers mentally sharp and ready to do battle in the Vegas casinos, and what better way to do THAT than by testing our casino party flock from time to time. Here, it doesn't COST you anything.

Yeah, we thought it was a great idea, too. We already test the SoCal masses at our just-for-fun casino tables with live dealers; Why not add a written test to the "blog" mix? For the record, we'll be utilizing our Aces Casino Blog for all kinds of testing, reaching out to ALL of the casino games that you love to play. We just HAD to start with Blackjack, though. It's only fair.

For each of our "mid-term tests" that we'll propose over the coming weeks, the format will most likely remain the same; Ten questions, with all 10 questions dealing with the chosen game of the day, and all the questions being of the True/False variety. OK, if the orange county casino night Professor is ready, let's begin. (Ed. Note: all of the answers will appear at the end of the blog. No peeking.)

Question 1. You should always hit a hand of 16 against a dealer's 10.

Question 2. A player that loses four hands in a row is due to win the next hand.

Question 3. It is not recommended to split 8's against a dealer's 10 or Ace.

Question 4. It doesn't matter which spot you sit down at when joining a game of Blackjack.

Question 5. You should always take even money when you have a blackjack and the dealer's up-card is an Ace. (2-point question.)

Question 6. Referring to a strategy card while playing at a Las Vegas casino Blackjack table is perfectly legal.

Question 7. A Blackjack player who is misplaying their hands will always cause the other players at the table to lose.

Question 8. The house edge against the player changes, depending on how many decks are used at the table.

Question 9. A Blackjack player that enters the game in the middle of a shoe will change the flow of the cards and ultimately alter the game in favor of the casino.

Question 10. When splitting Aces at the table, you are only allowed one card up per Ace.

OK, let's see how you did. I'm SURE that our students know their Blackjack. (Aren't we? Gee, I hope so....Grin)

ANSWERS

Question 1. FALSE. Did we get you already? Yes, surprisingly, that IS false. Remember, some casinos in Las Vegas use what is called the "Surrender" play at the table, where you can surrender half of your bet before hitting or standing. If you have 16 and the dealer is showing a ten, "Basic Strategy" suggests the player "surrender."

Question 2. FALSE. The deck of cards has no idea how the previous hands were dealt or played. Therefore, there is no mathematical theory around that has EVER suggested that this could possibly be true. Nope, false.

Question 3. Sorry, that's FALSE, too. Basic Strategy suggests that you do just that -- Split 'em. Look it up. I ain't lyin', here.

Question 4. TRUE. I'm sure that some might think the 3rd-base position is where the experts should play, but your personal chances of winning have nothing to do with actual seat position. Math wins again.

Question 5. FALSE. People, you're giving the house back a significant edge if you take the "even money" bait. ALWAYS take the 3-to-2 odds in your favor. Remember, thirteen possible cards under the dealer's hand, and only 4 of them make Blackjack (10-J-Q-K). Take the 3-to-2, baby. Two points for getting this one right.

Question 6. TRUE. I know you've heard all of the card-counter stuff, but here's the straight dope; having a basic strategy card to assist in your play is not only legal, but a VERY good idea.

Question 7. FALSE. Who told you THAT lie? Believe me, you have to take all of the superstition out of your game, if you believe this one. Doesn't matter if you're playing with rocket scientists or Raider fans: Those other players do NOT change your odds of winning. Trust me.

Question 8. TRUE. The house edge DOES change when fewer decks are used. Check out this link to see how much the differences are between using one deck and using an eight-deck shoe.

Question 9. FALSE. The flow of the cards dealt out might change, but there's no way to predict if this helps or hurts the players. Think about it.

Question 10. TRUE. Las Vegas casinos only allow the one mandatory card on each Ace. I know, sometimes you wish you could hit again. Uh-uhh. Nope, no-can-do. Aces Casino wouldn't be doing it's orange county casino night job right, if we weren't trying to help out a lil' bit.

Well, how did you do? Hopefully, you all scored a perfect "11." Come back any time, we're always discussing your favorite games here at the Aces Casino Blog! We'll see you next time......

The Aces Casino Blog: James Bond Has Asked Us To Sit In On HIS Favorite Casino Night Game -- Baccarat! (Hint: Mr. Bond Likes The Odds Involved)

So, to that end, the team at Aces Casino Entertainment have decreed that the month of May this year will be known as "Let's Play Games" month here on the blog.  Every Monday and Thursday here on the blog this month, we'll post a great link to one of the many fine Las Vegas-style casino game trainers for our fans to play with and try out.  Take one of our many game trainers for a spin, and see if you like the games, without the sting of playing for real money.

Today, we come at you with the favorite game of one "James Bond," the sophisticated MI-6 man who is "licensed to kill."  Try this Baccarat game trainer, you just may like it.  (Ed. Note: For reference, the people that study the mathematics of casino games will tell you that Baccarat has the most favorable odds for the player.)

Play your hearts out, my friends.

Time to sign off.... Take care, enjoy the games, courtesy of Aces Casino, the Orange county casino party leader, and we'll see you later with another fabulous game simulator in our last edition of our irreverent (but hopefully informative) Aces Casino Blog -- This one's a surprise, you'll just have to come back next time to see who won the last spot in our "Let's Play Games" series. (Ed. Note: Hint -- It's not a game, it's a TEST.)  We'll see you then!

Here at Aces Casino Entertainment, we just LOVE games like Pai-Gow Poker.  Heck, we love All kinds of games, from the traditional casino games that can be found in just about any reputable Las Vegas-based casino, to the various card and board games found at your local card shop and department store.  Bottom line -- When you're the top Orange county casino party company on the west coast, and the word "entertainment" is in your name, you had best know the Las Vegas gaming business.

And, without question, we DO.

As yours truly has already mentioned, next up on the docket is one of my all-time favorites in any casino - Pai-Gow Poker, "the game that plays itself."  I mean, what better way is there to knock down a few brews, and let the dealer play your hand for you?  (Ed. Note: And THAT'S why he only won three bucks.  Three brews, three bucks.)  Hey - If you'd rather play the hand yourself, that's cool, also.  Take a crack at this excellent game trainer, it follows below, just click on the Pai-Gow image...

Ahh, yes, Pai-Gow Poker..... Some of you also know that this game is traditionally played with domino-like tiles.  (Ed. Note: Yes, we can deal THAT way for our clients, as well.  Told you, we know our stuff.)  We hope you enjoyed this VERY good game trainer for Pai-Gow Poker.

Wow -- Looking at the calendar, we're almost out of dates in May and June to play games... That means we'll be closing out our "Let's Play Games" series with our next-to-last blog entry -- Wait for it.... "Baccarat!"  Hey, if it's good enough for James Bond, It's good enough for me.  See you then!

This edition of the Aces Blog's "Let's Play Games" series features the only game that I won my first big bet on, and haven't returned to the winners' circle since - Let It Ride.  (Don't make me tell my Let It Ride "bad beat" stories.)  You'll find the links to this great game simulator right under the corresponding image of the game.

I gotta be honest -- This game HATES me, so anyone that could beat this particular casino game gets props from this reporter..  But, even if you fared as well as I usually do, there's good news.... The Aces Casino Blog: Part 7 Of Our Brand New Series -- "Three Things We Found On The Internet Today" (But Were Afraid To Say Anything About it)

Here at Aces Casino Entertainment (Ed. Note: You know -- The top orange county casino night party company on the west coast, bar none), we've always looked at the making of the Aces Casino Blog as a work in perpetual motion -- A place to discuss everything from the latest in orange county casino party games, to dumb YouTube vids, to anything and everything under the sun that we feel needs the Aces Casino "light of day" brightly shined upon it.

In other words, our tendency to lean towards our "professional irreverence" mantra plastered upon us by none other than the O. C. Register, when they lauded us as the best casino party company in our industry.  High praise for 127 crazy staff members that found a job they loved, that isn't work.

But, back to the blog.

The Blog staff is always looking on the internet for things that they can forward to the thousands of loyal Aces Casino Blog subscribers (Ed. Note: Ummm, what?), and would consistently find things that they thought that, although it had nothing to do with our company, were interesting, just the same.

Leave it to the Blog staff to accidentally find yet another theme to discuss (exploit?) here. Here's a look at how they think: A couple of years ago, they wanted to be given the week off after coming up with the theme, "Aces Casino College of Casino Game Knowledge."  (Ed. Note: Yeah, right.  Back to work.)  Finally, this crew of frustrated Shakespeare Wanna-Be's were hit with the bolt of lightning - Let's package all these random internet stories, and write about them!  Hence, we now have our "3 Things" section.

Brilliant.  Well, maybe not BRILLIANT, but it'll pass.

To that end, we've dedicated all of our Aces Casino Blog entries for the month of May to the latest "3 Things" creation submitted by our Aces Casino Blog staff -- Hope you've enjoyed these lil' ditties!  If you missed any, just check out the Aces Casino Blog archives.  They're actually pretty cool.

OK, here's Part Seven of "Three Things That We Found On The Internet This Week / Month / Year!"   Coming up In our next Aces Casino Blog post, we do what we do best -- We'll be giving our readers the chance to try out some of the many games featured in the casinos of Las Vegas - It's our popular "Game Trainer" Series.  OK, let's get back to our last "3 Things" post of the month!

#1 -- The World's Largest Race and Sports Book

"The Chargers are only 8-1 to win the Super Bowl? What a rip-off!"

No, It's not the old Stardust Race And Sports Book...Actually, this pic from the archives of the "Life Magazine" photo department (circa 1943) is a pan shot of the FBI's Fingerprint Factory."  It was an 8,000 square foot facility located at the National Guard Armory in Washington, D.C.  ("8-1 on the Chargers?  Check that guy's fingerprints, that's robbery.")

#2 -- The "Wheel Of Fortune of Drinking Games"

Ewww.... Grapefruit?"  That's a Zonk.

“Old Mr. Boston Fruit-Flavored Gins – Ginsicles – What’s Your Flavor,” a marketing gimmick for the bygone distillery, Old Mr. Boston, also famous for their bartender’s guide, first published in 1935 and became known to both professional and home bartenders as the “Bible of Booze.”

#3 -- A company that builds "secret hidden rooms" in your home

OK, so who's NOT interested in THIS?

That one speaks for itself, check it out..... Oh, yes, this site has had Five-Point-Four MILLION views to date.  Yeah, I'm smelling a possible business model here.

Well, that's all for now when it comes to our "findings."  Next up - Game trainers, starting with Blackjack on Thursday.  Practice up, we'll see you then!

The Aces Casino Blog: Part 6 Of Our Brand New Series -- "Three Things We Found On The Internet Today" (But Were Afraid To Say Anything About it)

Brilliant.  Well, maybe not BRILLIANT, but it'll pass.

To that end, we dedicate all of our remaining Aces Casino Blog entries for the month of May to the latest creation submitted by our Aces Casino Blog staff -- Part 6 of "Three Things That We Found On The Internet This Week / Month / Year!"  Enjoy....

#1 -- Tree Camping in Elk, California

Watch that first step, it's a doozie.

Yeah, it's great, until A) you find out that the tent runs about $400, and B) you haven't yet conquered that sleepwalking thingy.  Who the heck came up with this, the Wallenda's?  How do you get UP there?  Never mind, I don't want to know.  That's # 397 of Things I Ain't doin.'  Here's the link, for you slingshot lovers.

#2 -- An Arch Bridge in China

I guess the off-ramp idea didn't fly.

That lighted track-object that sits some 420 feet above ground actually carries SIX lanes of traffic, plus two train tracks for their high-speed rail.  Well, at least those homes below (that look 500 years old) don't need porch lights.  Does China have the Auto Club?  I'd hate to break down up there.

#3 -- Kim Kardashian's favorite store (Allegedly)

"Everybody's looking at ME!"

We're back on Monday with our final episode of "3 Things We've Found on the Internet."  Hope you've enjoyed it, have a good weekend, we'll see you next week!

To that end, we dedicate all of our remaining Aces Casino Blog entries for the month of May to the latest creation submitted by our Aces Casino Blog staff -- Part Five of "Three Things That We Found On The Internet This Week / Month / Year!"  Enjoy....

#1 -- First prototype of the Mickey Mouse ears, circa World War I

"M - I - C...." See you real SOON..." (And HEAR ya, too!)

Actually, this photo shows what was called "Enemy Sound Detectors" from World War I.  We detected this lil' ditty from this link.

#2 -- Have you heard about the guy that bought his own hotel, just for the purpose of spying on all the guests as they did whatever they were doing?

Here's the hotel.  Recognize it?  "You're on Candid Camera."

OK... This one HAS to be in the running for "Aces Casino Blog Story Of The Year."  If you hadn't heard about this yet, well, here's the skinny.  Absolutely true story, from the "truth is stranger than fiction" files....

With the assistance of his wife, he cut rectangular holes measuring six by fourteen inches in the ceilings of more than a dozen rooms. Then he covered the openings with louvred aluminum screens that looked like ventilation grilles but were actually observation vents that allowed him, while he knelt in the attic, to see his guests in the rooms below. He watched them for decades, while keeping an exhaustive written record of what he saw and heard. Never once, during all those years, was he caught.

The guy's retort to this situation, when this became public?

“I did this purely out of my unlimited curiosity about people and not as just a deranged voyeur.”

Yeah, right.  "Creepy, 101."  Here's the link via The New Yorker.

#3 -- "The Church of the Perpetual Munchies"

All we need is Sean Penn and Mr. Hand, and we've got a bridge game.

OK, a little back-story -- Meet California-based Sister Kate and Sister Darcy, who grow, cultivate and harvest medicinal marijuana. The nuns label their medicinal remedies with their moniker The Sisters of the Valley. (Ed. Note: I like our name for them better, but I know where "In-N-Out" should build their next franchise location.)  The Sisters prepare their remedies observing the cycles of the moon and “in a spiritual environment.” They (Incredibly) have a Facebook page here.

Here's the link, courtesy of photographers Shaughn Crawford and John DuBois.  And, in a related story, the Pizza Hut down the street estimates that their annual revenue hits at around 20 million dollars.  (Ed. Note: OK, well, THAT'S not true... At least we don't THINK so.)

That's all for now... See you next time with more "Finds!"
